Scope of Work

The client wanted a contemporary, bright, and character-driven space that echoed their comic-style branding and created an enjoyable environment for staff. Key requirements included a bold reception area, collaborative breakout zones, meeting rooms with integrated AV, and a refreshing open-plan workspace. They also wanted the office to feel festive for their first Christmas in the space, with decorations seamlessly blended into the overall design.

The Design

CID Workspace developed a concept that combined clean lines and warm finishes with Chaotic’s distinctive colour palette. We used timber slat details, contemporary lighting, comfortable soft seating, and playful graphic walls to ground the space in the brand’s personality. Across each zone, we balanced practicality with visual impact, using durable finishes, ergonomic furniture, and biophilic touches to promote wellbeing and productivity.

The Reception Area

The reception was designed as a statement gateway into the business. A crisp white desk with a polished metal Chaotic logo sits against a warm timber backdrop, accented by integrated planting and soft ambient lighting. A striking Christmas tree and seasonal styling added warmth and excitement during installation week, making the space feel immediately inviting. The result is a reception area that is sophisticated yet unmistakably “Chaotic.”

The CEO Suite

The CEO suite was transformed into an elegant executive space. A bespoke walnut-laminate storage wall forms the focal point of the room, integrating subtle LED-lit shelving and a central feature niche that adds depth and visual interest. Bouclé soft-seating introduces texture and a modern hospitality feel, paired with a cream and black abstract rug that anchors the furniture layout while adding monochrome sophistication. Soft sheer curtains diffuse daylight and elevate the ambience, complemented by a cluster of glass pendant lights that cast a warm, luxurious glow. The new glass wall is finished with tailored manifestation for privacy and brand cohesion, ensuring the suite feels refined, welcoming and uniquely personal to the CEO.

Content Creation Room

The Content Creation Room was developed with versatility and creativity at its core, offering a relaxed setting for filming, brainstorming, and informal conversation. A soft seating zone provides a comfortable backdrop for video content, complemented by a round table and chairs for planning sessions and collaborative work. The standout feature is the slat wall with integrated greenwall panels, offset with a bespoke neon sign that brings energy and personality to the room. This combination of natural texture, modern lighting and flexible furniture makes the space visually engaging and highly functional, supporting both digital production and everyday office use.

Breakout Areas

Chaotic wanted staff to have spaces that encouraged collaboration, downtime, creativity, and connection. We created vibrant breakout lounges featuring red and coral seating, geometric rugs, playful wall artwork, and a retro gaming station. Adjacent to this, a more relaxed lounge with soft lighting and warm textures provides an alternative social space. These areas bring movement and energy into the office, supporting team culture and informal meetings.

Meeting Room

A key priority for the client was functional, calm meeting areas that contrasted with their more energetic breakout zones. We designed a contemporary boardroom with slatted timber feature walls, integrated LED lighting, and high-quality furniture in a sophisticated neutral palette.

Open Plan Workspace

The main office floor was designed with staff comfort and efficiency in mind. Soft blue desk screens, ergonomic seating, and natural planting help break up the space visually while improving acoustic performance. A branded wall graphic reinforces Chaotic’s identity, while clean sightlines and thoughtful space planning ensure the team can work productively without sacrificing a sense of openness.

Christmas Styling and Seasonal Dressing

As the project completed ahead of the holiday period, CID Workspace were invited to deliver a full Christmas installation to elevate the new interiors even further. We dressed the reception with an 8-foot tree adorned in deep berry-red baubles and a handcrafted garland, finished with a dramatic satin bow cascading down the branches. A second tree, a snowy 5.5-foot design placed in the CEO’s office, carried a softer palette of gold and cream marble-effect baubles with a boucle skirt and matching statement bow. Throughout the workspaces, columns received seasonal garlands with rich red bows, planters were dressed with berries and warm lights, and a glowing wreath created an elegant festive focal point in the meeting room. The result was cohesive, luxurious, and perfectly aligned with the Chaotic brand during its busiest season.
