We were excited to be approached by Alexander Lloyd, a local recruitment firm, to design and build their new offices.

The concept behind this project was to design and build a collaborative working open plan office with private pods and a staff breakout area. Our client wanted to encourage agile working habits and for the design to reflect their youthful and dynamic brand.

Agile work spaces

Two main office areas were designed in an open plan style to allow co-working between team members. Zoned flooring finishes and lighting give these spaces an identity. The feature walls mix graphic wall paper and timber cladding providing a focal point. New furniture allowed us to tie in the teal paint colour with the operator chair seats.

Pods

Our client wanted to create a series of independent Pods for private meetings. Bespoke desking using curved edges provide comfortable and user friendly booths. Soft, banquette seating alongside operator chairs maximises how the pods can be used. We incorporated stylish globe pendant lights as well as pulling in the timber cladding detail used elsewhere.

Breakout Area

A sense of space was key to ensuring the new design was as light and spacious as possible. Glass walls break up both the breakout area and the Pods to allow light to bounce around as much as possible. The light wood kitchen ties in with the Scandi feel of the space. A breakfast bar with stools provides a perfect spot for colleague to take a break.

Printer area

Functionality is key to make the most of even limited space. A corridor from the open place office to the meeting room became a printer and versatile storage area. By using gloss kitchen units this area is light and bright. This option was also more cost effective than installing a bespoke storage wall.

Meeting Room

Green plant wall adds a dramatic element to the meeting room. Timber cladding runs across the back wall linking back to the open plan office. The globe style pendant feature lights also provide a nod to the lights we installed in the Pods. Furthermore the glass wall with crittal style black banding adds a sleek form to the room.
